Body Contact Camp
SEERA Hockey’s First-Year Body Contact Development Camp is specifically designed for players entering their first season of body contact hockey.
Transitioning into body contact is an important milestone in a player’s development. Our program provides a structured, progressive learning environment where athletes are taught the proper techniques, timing, and awareness required to safely and confidently compete at the next level.
Program Focus
This camp emphasizes instruction, skill development, and confidence-building — not simply physical play.
Athletes will receive training in:
- Proper body positioning and balance
- Safe techniques for delivering and receiving contact
- Angling and defensive gap control
- Puck protection along the boards
- Edge control and stability in contact situations
- Awareness and decision-making under pressure
- Understanding when and how to initiate body contact appropriately
Each session is carefully structured to build comfort and technical ability before progressing into more competitive contact scenarios.
