General Jersey Information

Game Jerseys

Home and Away game jerseys will be supplied to each team by SEERA and must be returned at the end of the season. Players will be assigned a jersey number after team formation as determined by the Coach.

Socks

Players in all age categories will be provided with 1 pair of socks.

  • If a player requires a second pair, they can be purchased by contacting the Equipment Director for a cost (specific cost TBD for the upcoming season). Sometimes team may want to have separate home/away socks. If any team wishes to do that, the second pair of socks will be at the teams' expense.
  • SEERA issued socks are for game use only and we do not warranty socks from damages sustained from off ice activities such as street or ball hockey.
  • Wearing game day socks for practice should be avoided to extend the life of the socks.

Hockey Pant Shells

Starting in the 2024-25 season, the SEERA pant shells are no longer required for SEERA teams. It is recommended that all players wear black hockey pants so their team still matches in a reasonable manner.

Team jersey and socks questions should be directed to the Team Equipment Director at equipment@seerahockey.ca

Jerseys Maintenance

  • Each team will have a jersey parent(s) who are responsible for keeping their assigned sets together and for cleaning.
  • Players are not permitted to take jerseys home individually.
  • Players should not use the jerseys for off ice activities. If jerseys will be worn to off ice activities (e.g. for bottle drives) the black set should be used. Damages sustained from all off ice activities are the responsibility of the parent/guardian and will be subject to replacement cost.
  • Parents agree not to allow their player to use colored drinks when wearing their team jersey. Orange sports drinks and white jerseys do not go well together. Damages from staining will result in a replacement cost bill to the parents.
  • Jerseys are to be cleaned as required by the jersey parent(s).

Washing Instructions:

  • Please wash jerseys separately or with like colors.
  • Do not wash the white jerseys with any colored clothing as they will turn out grey / bluish tone.
  • Wash inside out.
  • Wash in cold water.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener or scented boosters to sanitize.
  • Hang to dry.

Affiliated Players

The Team Manager or Head Coach will provide affiliated players with an assigned jersey number for game days and ensure it is collected at the end of the game.

Affiliated players are not permitted to take game day jerseys home.

Jersey Replacement Policy

SEERA Hockey does not collect a Jersey Deposit.

  • Parents agree/acknowledge to the jersey waiver when registering online.
  • The Equipment Manager will determine if the game jersey(s) is damaged beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Should a jersey be damaged beyond normal wear and tear during games, parents will be invoiced $125.00 for the cost of a replacement jersey and/or the cost of mending (if possible).

Damaged jersey payments must be made by April 30 of the current season.

Non-payment will result in a violation with SEERA Hockey and the player will not be permitted to register for any future seasons with SEERA Hockey or any other Hockey Canada governed program until the payment has been submitted.
