Registration Information

EMAIL ADDRESS: The email address that you list as the players email will be used as our main point of contact email for your family. All communication will be sent to this email address. Please do not use an address that is not monitored daily.

HOCKEY CANADA - HOCKEY ID / HCR #: SEERA Hockey uses the Hockey Canada Registry portal (aka HCR 3.0 Spordle) to manage player registrations. If you are new to SEERA Hockey, please follow the New Player guidelines below to complete your registration. If you are a returning player, check your inbox for instructions, and proceed to Returning Players guidelines.

RESPECT IN SPORT: If you are new to hockey you must first take the "Respect In Sport - Parent Edition (RIS)" online course before you can register online with SEERA Hockey. The fee for this course is $12.00. Choose "SEERA Hockey" as your hockey association. This course expires after 4 years.

 

New Players:

  • All new players must first create an account in the HCR 3.0 Spordle portal to complete your registration.
  • Documentation is required to confirm age and residency. You will be asked to upload the following to the player's HCR 3.0 Spordle account under documents:
    • Alberta Health Care
    • Birth Certificate or Passport
    • Proof Of Residency - Current Utility Bill : Name/Address portion only.
    • The registrar will send an email requesting this information or you can email in advance to seeraadmin@shaw.ca.
  • Parents will need to complete the Hockey Alberta Online Respect in Sport Parent (RIS Parent) course. The RIS Parent course must be completed within 7 days of registering. When registering for the course, you will be asked to select your association, please select "SEERA".
    • SEERA Hockey does not offer pre-registration codes, the course must be paid for by the parent.
  • Parents will need to provide a Volunteer Deposit:
    • All families must submit a Volunteer Deposit cheque to remain on file for the duration the player is with SEERA Hockey.
    • The cheque will only cashed if the parent does not meet the Volunteer Requirements.
    • Parents can select Opt Out and then pay the Opt Out fee upon checkout.

Transferring Players:

For players transferring from another association

Please contact the Registrar to confirm you reside within the Southeast Zone catchment.

Returning players:

For players returning to SEERA Hockey for the upcoming season:

  • Parents - check your inbox for an email with instructions to register online.
  • All families are required to have a valid (not expired) Respect in Sport Parent course on file.

Payment Options:

  • EFT / e-transfer: Directions can be located on the invoice upon checkout
  • Credit Card: Visa/Mastercard/Visa Debit
  • Payment Plan: The option to use a payment plan will appear in the online registration upon check out.
  • Vouchers: Vouchers earned through your Community League or Millwoods/SEERA Hockey volunteer activities (bingo, casinos or 50/50) can be used for registration to pay for your player's hockey fees.
    • Please mail your vouchers to Kerri Bishop in advance via Canada Post mail, to the address listed below, before you begin the online registration process. An email will be sent once Kerri has confirmed receipt of the vouchers. The remaining balance owing for your player's fees will be shown during checkout of the online registration process. No change provided.

    • Please include the player's name, your name and email when mailing the vouchers.

Please Note:

  • A $35 NSF Charge will be administered to all returned cheques.
  • A $75.00 administration fee will be assessed to all approved refunds. See refund policy.
  • If you select a payment plan and miss the payment due date a late fee of $50.00 will be assessed each payment missed. Make arrangements with the administrator to avoid this.
